Bowden Information & Sales Centre
Interior and External DesignProject Details
The Parkview Hotel has been renovated to be the Bowden Information & Sales Centre and Café.
“A Life More Interesting” is the advertising campaign for the Bowden development; hence the design for the Centre was to reflect this and to capture the essence of the old and new Bowden with eclectic design direction.
Situated on the corner of Fifth Street and Park Terrace, Bowden, the Bowden Information Centre is the first point of access for developers and prospective residential purchasers to investigate the proposed development in the area.
Aiming to achieve a Greenstar 5 or 6 rating, the design specifications and implementation for the fit out and furniture required careful selection of materials and processes to ensure they met Greenstar’s stringent standards.
The overall site area is approximately 300m2, Arketype worked with Gasparin homes providing design direction to reconfigure the original building from a function Centre to a space to accommodate a sales and information area, nook (transition between the information Centre and café), office and boardroom. The exterior of the building was also updated.
Externally Arketype designed and produced the external façade cladding, external colour scheme, reconfigured car parking & bicycle racks.
After the completion of the shell fit out by Gasparin, Arketype undertook the implementation of the interior design, exhibition fit out and furniture.
The Centre is home to virtual touch screen tours, interactive multimedia and a 4m x 4m 1:200 scale model of the development in the area. It also features bespoke furniture, wall graphics and interpretation, hidden details and bucket loads of style.
