Slide1 background

Arketype worked with the University of South Australia over a number of years prior to the development of the Cancer Research Institute, in the development and improvement of their out-dated and redundant wayfinding signage across all metropolitan and regional campuses. The Cancer Research Institute project, provided a forum, to further develop and roll out a new wayfinding system that aligned navigation, orientation and site information for both first-time visitors and repeat visitors alike alongside the complex operational and statutory delivery of information and maintenance requirements of the University.

In turn, by streamlining the signage, the system is layered into buildings with minimum impact on the overall architectural vision, whilst delivering detailed navigational information to visitors in a sensible and user-friendly format.

The successful roll out of this signage has prompted the University to rethink their wayfinding strategy campus wide, including precinct wayfinding, retail signage and nodal wayfinding.
